[ Midgard has began from a struggling colony to a prosperous world on it's own. It's already inhabited by the time Troy's people have arrived here, creating conflict between the two vastly different cultures until the wisest members of Troy's faction decide to take a more diplomatic approach. Unity has sprung, and progress has skyrocketed, blooming into the sleek and orderly cities that even the Xianzhou could respect. However, not everyone in Midgard were so forgiving of past conflicts, causing them to welcome a Stellaron into the planet through some shady means. It didn't help that the Antimatter Legion also attacked, bringing even some Doomsday Beasts to really challenge Midgard's military might.
But that is mostly behind them. Powerful of a force Midgard might be, Troy didn't decline the help of outworlders from the Astral Express from doing what they do best. He even went against his own superiors to allow the Express crew to pursue the Stellaron while him and his soldiers ensured they get to do so by protecting them from the brunt of the Legion. His defiance saved more lives than the initial plan of the out-of-touch leaders of Midgard, who were revealed to have a hand in the Stellaron's arrival to the planet, causing the people to view them with disdain and Troy as their new leader. It was a lot to take in, that's why he is just desperate for a relaxing time away from a day's worth of reparations and politics.
Inside the palatial government arcology - Valhalla - the security AI allowed Himeko to roam freely and even the guards pay respect to her with a nod of acknowledgement. The crew of the Express were seen as heroes alongside their new leader and Midgard's own champion that defeated the Doomsday Beasts. Eventually, she finds her way to the council floors and the small elegant kitchenette for guests. Valhalla is so vast that even many of the politicians and their families just live in it's secure art-deco halls. Himeko might have even seen large murals depicting Midgard's tumultuous history. Troy arrives at the same place as her, lured by the aroma of coffee that he desperately needs right now. Following his nose, he lets out a surprised hum and feels his lips tug to a smile at the familiar sight of cascading red hair over a black coat. ]
Something smelled good.
[ He introduces himself with a compliment, leaning casually against the door frame and still acting like the soldier he was than the king he is supposed to be now. ]
How does it taste? That's locally grown Midgardian coffee. One of our pride and joys-
[ He walks inside the rest area, pulling up a chair and inviting Himeko to take a seat. ]
-based on a coffee bean from where I was born. So I am quite fond of it.
[ He pauses, raising a hand to add: ]
But. No pressure in saying you don't like it. I understand taste is a subjective thing.
[ Himeko and the Astral Express to him are good friends now. He speaks to them like they're his own Archon comrades, and he hopes to build a relationship with them where they feel the same. Being open and honest is a step towards that goal. ]
