[ That he fails a second time doesn't seem to surprise her terribly - she's played enough of these by now to know that there's more than just luck involved. There's also a healthy amount of chance too. A part of her had thought that switching the person would somehow switch around the luck too but so far her theory is being proven wrong.

She looks at the plush bunny with a mixture of disdain and disappointment before sparing a glance towards Troy and his outstretched hand. ]

I would have paid for the other two tries, you know. It's my plushie after all.

well that's good, with everything going on I was worried about you.

nothing too crazy on my end, just trying to sleep admis the chaos and thumping. have you had any strange effects from all of this?

Just feeling a little sluggish from it, I admit.
Went to the clinic and they told me I have a mild fever, so I just slept it off.
Seems like us Diamonds are affected by the noise the most though.
But I'm fine now. Still got gas in the tank.

It was. My supersoldier-ness still works, even if the suit dampened it down to a point I can even get sick. Used to be immune to this kind of thing, y'know?

[ Nothing springs a man like him into action than the promise of a sexy woman waiting for him. Troy went from relaxed to rushing out the door in a blink. It won't take long before he heads to the elevator to her queen suite. He feels his heel tapping against the floor as it ascends, only calming down once he feels the elevator start to slow down to its destination.

( it was strange in a way— this place forced intimate connections with its 'hostages' and while there was nothing more personal and up close than having sexual encounters, she still felt there was far more she could learn about troy. perhaps it was her approach to life preventing them from fully being that connected but for now this was good enough right?

[ Even among those less familiar with texting he's the first to respond this way and it certainly takes her by surprise but she says nothing of it. ]

I may be. It's a bit early to tell, I suppose, but typically you should be able to tell when you are on your way to a suit flare. There are symptoms, not least of which is the gradual darkening of your suit mark. I have known the speed of that to vary a bit but only once before, a seemingly unusual case within a few weeks of my arrival, have I experienced a full-blown flare without any build-up or outside provocation.

And now I have again. [ Not this very minute, which she hopes is clear. ] I thought to first ask other diamonds if they had noticed anything unusual since the heartbeat stopped.

[ Perhaps it was just her. Perhaps her little adventure in the maintenance tunnels has left her on the House's bad side. ]

I did. When the heartbeat resumed a dear friend of mine began hearing voices beckoning and we decided we had to know why. Why a thundering heartbeat, why headaches and paranoia, why voices?

The memories are oddly fuzzy, almost dreamlike, but I know we were not meant to see all that we saw and I was covered bruises for a week after. Still, it leaves us with even more questions, doesn't it.

Crazy as it might sound that we're inside a living being, if there's an actual heart inside of those tunnels as people have reported remembering.
And why there's no real outside.

[ When the elevator doors slide open, Troy was ready and meets Reira's greeting with a smile. A clever reply was waiting at the bottom of his throat, only for it to fizzle out when she reveals the sight of her clothes underneath the trench coat, and presented it so confidently that Troy's own managed to stay quiet. He feels his jaw drop, eyes unable to pry themselves away from the way that outfit suits her elegant, slender figure. ]

...I think, a loss for words is another symptom I'm having.

[ He admits defeat. His wit is gone out to lunch. ]

That is what I believe I saw. I wish I could recall it better.

Until this my leading theory, helped along by those more experienced in magical studies, was that this resort is a demiplane. A pocket dimension. [ She had not been familiar with either term before her arrival but it wasn't an entirely new idea. She saw Byleth slice her way out of another dimension, one that Solon said should have been inescapable. It's kept her firm in her belief that she can escape the Golden Peacock on her terms. ] If none of us were supposed to see it there must be a way to turn this knowledge to our advantage.

But those conversations are best had elsewhere, and I must admit I contacted you to make a proposal.

[ Troy is also no stranger to people who can just tear their way out dimensions, so it gives him the same confidence that he can leave this place. But he's just not as much in a hurry as Edelgard. But right now he's curious of what she has in mind. ]
