I'll send a search party if it actually takes that long.

[ Thankfully it doesn't. And though she's in an arcade with plenty of games to occupy herself with in whatever time it does take Troy to get there, she's chosen mercy that day and stays put. Of course it isn't purely selfless. The thing she needs help with after all is in this particular machine.

So she bides her time instead scrolling listlessly through her Watch, looking up when she hears footsteps approaching. Immediately a look relief crosses her expression as she leaves her post to meet him halfway, pulling him by the arm back towards the claw machine. ]

Thank the Goddess you're here. I was starting to think I'd actually have to send out a search party.

[ He gives her an upward nod, with subtle haste in his stride. As much as he's joking earlier, he's really here to help. He was about to say something, but Hilda walks towards him and drags him away, seeing her bring him to the assorted claw machines. ]

Ah-huh...

[ He can only utter some noise of confusion, letting the smaller Hilda just pull him around without much resistance from him. Her arms around his was kind of adorable. He feels her strength, but their disparity in size is still very clear ]

I have a good guess on why you dragged me here for, but why did you drag me here for?

[ He asks, regaining his usual easy-going and bantering demeanor ]

[ The haste doesn't go unnoticed. A little part of her feels bad about it in hindsight before remembering why she had called him here in the first place. Eyes on the prize, Hilda!

The reminder to herself is of course carried over into the delivery of what she says next as they arrive at her staked out machine. A hand slip away from his arm but only to point accusingly at the cheerful lights blinking back at the from the machine. ]

I can't get the super exclusive plushie that they only rotate in once every couple of months! I've been trying to get it for months and today's the last day to get it before they change out the prizes.

[ Is it possible for a woman's eyes to become more doe-eyed than they were before? We're about to find out. ]

[ Well he did say he's willing to help her out and owe her a favor, so his question is asked with such amusement in his face. Prodding at that little guilt she's feeling, and showing it's fine and that he's more than happy to help.

He looks at that doe-eyed expression and feels that youthful part of himself revitalized. He remembers the times his younger self would have melted by such a look, and how whatever roughness he exuded back then would have vanished in order to help a pretty lady. Now older and calmer, Troy just chuckles and nods as he walks towards the machines.

The assortment of plushies are quite colorful, making him wonder which one exactly does she want. Still, he pulls the sleeves of his shirt just below his elbows, and cracks his knuckles. ]

They all suit you... Which one exactly are you looking to get?

Well I thought since you had a talent for throwing furniture at cherubs, being handy with a claw machine might be another one of your off the beaten path talents.

[ Even acting the part as a doe-eyed, hapless woman she's positively shameless. Which is probably a pretty good indication of just how much she's desperate for the help. She's ready to beg if she must - but when he strides over to the machine and seems to ready himself she's by his side in a flash the doe-eyes gone in an instant. ]

That one. [ "That one" being a medium sized, round plushie. It would have looked more like a ball were it not for the fact that it had long rabbit ears and a fluffy tail. The bunny stares almost mockingly (she thinks) back at them. ] It's so cute with its little bow tie. I have the matching one which means I can't leave without this one!

[ Troy smiles sheepishly once Hilda joins his side, pointing at the bunny plush that made him look at it, then Hilda, then back at the bunny. It's like the plush is just Hilda in a doll form, complete with the smug expression that he feels is what she's feeling inside. ]

Okay...

[ Troy digs into his pocket for some chips, counting them in his palm before putting one of the coins into the machine. ]

It's been over a decade since I touched any of these machines.

[ He admits, both as an admission and a warning that... he's probably gonna suck at this. Troy moves the claw towards the bunny with anticipation building up within him, he pushes the button that lowers the claw around the round shape, only for the claw to just barely cling into the bunny. The claw rose back up without even making the bunny budge. Troy looks at Hilda, thinking of what to do. ]

How many chips do you have?

[ Troy's back and forth glances between her and the bunny do not escape her notice. But the last thing that crosses her mind is that he's comparing her to the plushie trapped behind the glass waiting to come home with her. In her determined, somewhat frustrated state, her first thought is that he's simply judging her for her taste in plushies - which frankly, she refuses to be shamed for. ]

I believe in you.

[ Even if he's silently judging her. Her eyes swing back from him towards the machine in anticipation but the determined gleam in her eyes doesn't falter even in the face of his first failed attempt. If anything there's a fire in there when she turns back towards him with her watch held up. ]

Enough to make sure that it comes home with me.

[ And as if to prove it she hovers the watch face over the machine to pay for a set of three rounds. ]

Try positioning it just behind its ears - that way the claw has more to grip onto!

[ Her determination rubs off on him as he inserts another coin straight from his own chips, even if this is all for her. He doesn't even mind it one bit, feeling like his younger self again where he'll do pretty much anything to impress a pretty lady. Though this time, he's helping out a friend. Who also happens to be a pretty lady. ]

Alright, let's give it a shot.

[ He follows her input, moving the claw over and down to where the very limp-wristed claws only manage to pull the ear when it withdraws. The bunny is still there on it's pile, judging the two of them with its trademark smirk. ]

Ah... At least it moved?

[ Troy lightly scratches the back of his neck, shrugging. But when he looks at Hilda again, he is reminded of her focused want for this plush toy. He's looking at a friend in need, so he can't help but put out his open palm for a coin. ]

Well? I'm out of spare coins. But I got a good feeling on this one.

[ With his palm out and with a warm smile, he looks like he's asking her hand for a dance instead of him asking for a coin. ]

[ That he fails a second time doesn't seem to surprise her terribly - she's played enough of these by now to know that there's more than just luck involved. There's also a healthy amount of chance too. A part of her had thought that switching the person would somehow switch around the luck too but so far her theory is being proven wrong.

She looks at the plush bunny with a mixture of disdain and disappointment before sparing a glance towards Troy and his outstretched hand. ]

I would have paid for the other two tries, you know. It's my plushie after all.

[ Without a word though she extends her hand, dropping a token into his out stretched palm - but not before kissing it for good luck. ]
